We know how important it is to receive your livestock in great condition and in a timely manner.  If there is a problem, please call us and we will help sort out any difficulties.

Accepted Methods of Payment

 

We accept Visa and MasterCard, along with PayPal and money orders. Your koi are shipped upon receipt of payment.  Also, we must include a $10.00 Box, Bag, and Oxygen charge for each box of fish ordered.


Shipping Terms

We generally use FedEx Overnight Priority to ship koi right to your door.  FedEx guarantees to deliver your package by 10:30 am the next morning to most U.S. cities.  This shipping method allows minimum transport time, and thus minimum risk to your live fish. The koi will be double-packed in polyethylene bags with pure oxygen and ammonia absorbent, and ice packs when needed, and then shipped to arrive in good health within about 18 hours. On the night before delivery, we will email you a tracking number unique to your package so that you may follow the status and location of your box of koi.

*We insist that you receive and acclimate the fish within 2 hours of arrival. 

*Also, you must quarantine your newly purchased fish to prevent the introduction of potential disease-causing organisms to both your existing stock and the new koi.  Click here to view our suggestions for quarantining koi.

ACCLIMATION OF FISH:

1- Float bag in your pond to adjust water temperatures.

2- Over a period of 15-20 minutes, displace our bag water with water from your pond or quarantine tank- cup by cup.  Do not add any of the bag water into your system- the water has shipping additives (simply Ammonia Absorbent) to help the fish during this stressful time of shipping.

3- Release fish and monitor fish over the next days.  Cover pond/tank so that fish cannot jump out.

Blue Mountain Koi reserves the right to refuse refund in the event the above requirements are not followed or we are contacted immediately after death or illness occur.  Again, we guarantee our koi to be live and well upon arrival and assure the health of your fish with a 48 hour guarantee.  Honesty and fairness by both the buyer and seller will keep our prices low.

All fish sizes are based on approximations.  All koi are subject to prior sale.  As with any live animal, koi are subjected to the hazards of nature, such as death, illness, or change of color, pattern, etc. Blue Mountain Koi puts extra effort into protecting our fish from physical harm and degradation of quality.
